Montbrú unwraps its Novell with truffle

This Christmas, at Montbrú we’re pleased to welcome a new member into our family of cheeses: our Novell with truffle. We’ve taken our well-known soft goat’s cheese with its white bloomy rind and added some black winter truffle (tuber melanosporum), a top-quality product from the Busa Mountains, located between Solsona and Berga.

To make this spectacular new variety of our Novell cheese, we’ve partnered with Pere Muxí of the Sota Terra company, dedicated to the production and marketing of black truffles. Pere has supplied us with some of the finest black truffles, harvested individually every week at peak ripeness.

We couldn’t be more pleased with the result of this partnership. The Novell with truffle combines a subtle, delicate, understated truffle aroma with the soft, creamy texture of our cheese, pairing perfectly with a woody white wine or a lager, accompanied by some good country bread.

For us this is one of the most special products of the year that’s just wrapping up. It’s already available to purchase in our online store and in your trusted stores.
